Ashley Austin Morris · Your Host
San Antonio-born, trained at UNC School of the Arts, and a regular in the Comedy Cellar rotation. You’ve seen Ashley on CBS’s “Elsbeth,” FX’s “Fleishman Is in Trouble,” Netflix’s “Inventing Anna,” and, if you grew up with PBS Kids, as Francine on “The Electric Company.” Her album “Slightly Off” debuted at No. 1 on iTunes. As a host, she knows this room better than the furniture does.
Pete Lee
Janesville, Wisconsin’s finest export after cheese. Pete was the first stand-up to ever get a standing ovation on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and has since been named an official Tonight Show regular. His Showtime special “Tall, Dark and Pleasant” is about being a conflict-averse people-pleaser, which makes him the only comic on the lineup who will apologize to you for how hard you laughed.
Rachel Feinstein
One of the best impressionists in stand-up, full stop. Rachel has done Conan, The Tonight Show, and The Late Late Show, released the Netflix special “Big Guy” (named after the extremely unromantic pet name her firefighter husband gave her), and turned up in “Trainwreck,” “Top Five,” HBO’s “Crashing,” and “Inside Amy Schumer.” If she does her mom, you will hear your own mom.
Sahib Singh
Baltimore-raised and New York-sharpened, Sahib has written for Comedy Central, performed on CBS’s Comedy Showcase and Adult Swim, and opened for Hasan Minhaj, Stavros Halkias, and Mark Normand. Half a million people follow him on Instagram under a handle that is also a confession: he cannot, in fact, sing.
Shaun Murphy
Buffalo-born and proudly beaten down by the weather, Shaun is a Comedy Cellar regular whose special “Long Story Thin” was filmed in this exact basement and directed by Mark Normand. He’s opened for Dave Attell, Dan Soder, and Phil Hanley, and his résumé includes Mighty Taco. His theory: cold, beaten-down cities make funny people. Thursday, he’s the evidence.
Usama Siddiquee
Texas-raised, Bengali-American, and the fan favorite on Kevin Hart’s Netflix competition “Funny AF.” Usama made his late-night debut on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” was a Just for Laughs New Face, and has acted in “Inventing Anna” and “And Just Like That.” His own website claims he can probably beatbox better than you. We have no reason to doubt it.
