Oct. 22nd Livestream from the Comedy Cellar

Mint Comedy streams live, uncensored stand-up from the Comedy Cellar in New York City every Thursday night. This week’s show is Thursday, October 22 at 9:30pm ET, hosted by Matt Richards, featuring Tom Thakkar, Lynne Koplitz, Daniel Simonsen, Rachel Feinstein, and Chris Redd. Watch at mintcomedy.com/live-stream for $2.99, $2 with promo code LAUGHS, or free with a $4.99/month or annual membership.

Here’s the short version: an Emmy-winning SNL alum, two Netflix headliners, an Edinburgh Best Newcomer from Norway, a Tonight Show and CONAN comic with a brand-new album, and a host with a brand-new Hulu special. All in the most famous comedy basement on the planet, with no edits, no bleeps, and no “we’ll fix it in post.”

Here’s who’s on.

The lineup: October 22

Matt Richards, stand-up comedian

Matt Richards · Your Host

A New York-raised comic who started doing stand-up at 14, Matt released his debut special, LOL Live with Matt Richards, on Hulu in July 2026 as part of Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat LOL Live series. He hosts A&E’s food-competition show Best in Chow, and starting in 2019 he was the main host of the HQ Trivia app, including its farewell show, where he paid the $5 jackpot out of his own pocket. You’ve also seen him on Showtime’s Flatbush Misdemeanors, HBO Max’s That Damn Michael Che (which he also wrote for), and Starz’s Run the World. He’s a part-time magician too, so keep an eye on your wallet. Thursday he’s running the room.

Tom Thakkar, stand-up comedian

Tom Thakkar

Tom grew up in Bloomington, Indiana, sharpened his act in Chicago, and made his late-night debut on CONAN in 2017, where he called Spirit Airlines “Medicaid for the sky,” and followed it with The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2021. A Just For Laughs New Face, he’s done Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents, hosts Comedy Central’s Stand Up with Tom Thakkar podcast, co-hosted SiriusXM’s You Up with Nikki Glaser, and headlined the 2026 Vail Comedy Festival. His newest album, Get In Thakkar, came out in September 2025, following Thakkar Noir. The man commits to a pun.

Lynne Koplitz, stand-up comedian

Lynne Koplitz

Born on Long Island and raised in Sarasota, Florida, Lynne is a Joan Rivers protégée who dedicated her 2017 Netflix special, Hormonal Beast, to her mentor. She hosted the dating show Change of Heart, co-hosted Food Network’s How to Boil Water, was a regular on WE tv’s Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best?, and co-hosted the very first broadcast of StarTalk with Neil deGrasse Tyson. That makes her the only comic on this lineup qualified to explain both your relationship and black holes. She’s also part of Showtime’s Funny Women of a Certain Age, and she’s on the 2026 New York Comedy Festival lineup next month.

Daniel Simonsen, stand-up comedian

Daniel Simonsen

Daniel grew up in Bergen, Norway, found comedy through the city’s student theatre, and in 2012 won Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, the top honor for a debut show at the Edinburgh Fringe. UK audiences know him as Erik, Bob Mortimer’s son, in BBC Two’s House of Fools. Since moving to New York he’s made his US late-night debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers (2018), done The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (2019) and Comedy Central’s Stand-Up Featuring, and starred alongside Stavros Halkias in the comedy Let’s Start a Cult, now on Hulu. He describes his comedy as “a mix of joy and suffering,” which is also how most people describe Thursdays.

Rachel Feinstein, stand-up comedian

Rachel Feinstein

Born in Washington, D.C., raised in Bethesda, Maryland, and in New York since she was 17, Rachel is one of the most distinctive voices in stand-up. Her Netflix special Big Guy (2024), executive produced by Amy Schumer, is largely about life with her husband, an FDNY battalion chief. Before that came her Comedy Central hour Only Whores Wear Purple and a spot on Netflix’s The Standups. She’s done Conan, The Tonight Show, and The Late Late Show, played Anne Frank on Netflix’s Historical Roasts, appeared in Inside Amy Schumer, HBO’s Crashing, Trainwreck, and Top Five, and voiced a talk-show host in Grand Theft Auto V. Last year she was a panelist on NPR’s Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!

Chris Redd, stand-up comedian

Chris Redd

Chris was born in St. Louis, grew up in Naperville, Illinois, and says rapping helped him get past a childhood stutter. He went from waiting tables at Olive Garden to touring with The Second City, then spent five seasons in the cast of Saturday Night Live (2017–2022). In 2018 he won a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for the SNL song “Come Back Barack.” He co-created and starred in Peacock’s Bust Down, released his first hour, Why Am I Like This?, on HBO Max in 2022 (filmed in his hometown), hosted Netflix’s Resurrected Rides, and recently turned up in Starz’s Power Book III: Raising Kanan and Prime Video’s holiday movie Merv. Next up, he’s in the cast of Netflix’s Celebrity Million Dollar Secret, coming in 2027. Movie fans also know him from Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping and Joker.
