Elle Orlando: Bio, Comedy Style, and Where to Watch
Who is Elle Orlando?
Elle Orlando is originally from Florida and grew up in the suburbs of Chicago — a combination she describes as “a fun mix of trash and apologizing for being trash.” She moved to New York City to pursue comedy and has built her following through a blend of club work and social media. She has 103,000 Facebook followers and 82,000 TikTok followers with over 6.6 million likes, and her self-described “dark but also silly” comedy style has found a broad audience online and in rooms.
She was named a New York Comedy Festival “Creator to Watch” in 2023. She is passed at New York Comedy Club, The Stand, Williamsburg Comedy Club, Stand-Up NY, Broadway Comedy Club, The Comedy Mothership in Austin, and Zanies Chicago, and performs regularly at the Comedy Cellar. She has opened for comedians including Michael Kosta, Rich Vos, Jared Freid, Dan Levy, and Ian Lara. She hosts The Elle Diablo Show, a comedy podcast blending personal stories, cultural commentary, and interviews with fellow comedians. One of her proudest career milestones, as she has stated, is getting passed at the Comedy Cellar.
Elle Orlando’s Comedy Style
Orlando is a blue comedian — direct, unfiltered, built on crowd work and candid takes on dating, identity, and modern culture. Her comedy is fast and specific without being mean-spirited, and the Chicago suburban upbringing gives her material a self-aware midwestern quality that lands in New York rooms without apology. The combination of being passed at multiple major clubs and building a genuine social media following reflects a comedian who works hard at both sides of the business.
