Who is Francesco De Carlo?

Francesco De Carlo is the first Italian comedian to perform stand-up comedy in English—a distinction that speaks to both his courage and his vision. Born and raised in Rome, De Carlo has worked in 17 countries, bringing Italian humor and perspective to international audiences. He performs regularly at the legendary Comedy Cellar in New York, and his career has taken him to some of the world’s most prestigious venues and festivals.

His one-hour special is available on Netflix in 190 countries, making him a truly global comedy figure. He’s participated in major international comedy festivals including Edinburgh, Johannesburg, and Montreal. In London, he had two sold-out runs in 2017 and 2019. He opened for Matteo Lane at the prestigious Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall in New York, and has performed in several major theatres across Europe and the US.
