Chris Redd is having a massive 2025. On top of his dramatic role in “Power Book III: Raising Kanan,” he’s co-starring in one of the most anticipated romantic comedies of the holiday season.
The film is called “Merv,” and it’s set for a December 2025 release from Amazon MGM Studios. Here’s everything we know about the movie.
The A-List Cast
“Merv” stars Zooey Deschanel (“New Girl”) and Charlie Cox (“Daredevil”) as an estranged couple who are forced to reunite when they discover their shared dog, Merv, is suffering from depression after their breakup. To cheer up the pup, they awkwardly decide to take him on a holiday vacation to Florida.
Chris Redd joins this stellar cast in a key supporting role, bringing his signature comedic energy to the rom-com.

While details about his exact character are still under wraps, Redd is poised to be a scene-stealer.
