Paris Sashay: Bio, Comedy Style, and Where to Watch

Who is Paris Sashay?

Paris Sashay is a comedian, actor, writer, and producer from Washington, D.C., currently based in New York City. She is a seasoned storyteller whose command of the room has made her a standout on stages from D.C. to New York to Los Angeles. She is a queer Black woman whose comedy offers a joyful, unfiltered perspective on love, identity, and family — told through sharp storytelling and infectious charm.

She was named a New Face at the 2018 Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. Her stand-up special was featured on EPIX’s Unprotected Sets Season 1, produced by Wanda Sykes. She appeared on BET’s 50 Central. She appeared on Pause with Sam Jay on HBOMax. She has performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., the Apollo Theater, the Howard Theatre, Caroline’s on Broadway, and the Comedy Store in Los Angeles. Tiffany Haddish mentioned her in a recent season of She Ready on Netflix. She released her comedy special My Honest Ignorance in 2024. She has worked with Michael Che, Dick Gregory, Wanda Sykes, Lil Rel, and Roy Wood Jr. She hosted a Just for Laughs showcase at New York Comedy Club in 2026. She performs regularly at the Comedy Cellar.

Paris Sashay’s Comedy Style

Sashay is a storyteller first — her material loops and builds with mischievous momentum, landing with surprising tenderness. Her crowd work is playful, her timing crisp, and her point of view unmistakable. A Paris Sashay show feels both intimate and electric. The Wanda Sykes production credit on her EPIX special and the Tiffany Haddish mention on Netflix reflect the respect she has earned from the industry’s top performers.
