Who is Sophie Buddle?

Sophie Buddle is originally from Ottawa, Canada, started performing stand-up at age fifteen, and recorded her first comedy album at twenty-two. She is a two-time runner-up in SiriusXM Canada’s Top Comic competition. In 2020, she won the Juno Award for Comedy Album of the Year for her 2019 album A Lil Bit of Buddle — becoming the first woman to win the award as a solo stand-up comedian.

She has performed at Just for Laughs Montreal’s All Access showcase, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the Halifax Comedy Festival, the Moontower Comedy Festival (three times), and the Lil Rhody Laugh Riot.
